What we process
Your display name, destination link, bid amount, chosen date, optional claim and artwork; the email and payment references returned by Stripe; and limited technical data such as IP address for security and rate limiting. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored by bidorbow.
Why
To run and settle the auction, authorize and capture the winning payment, release losing authorizations, publish the winner, prevent abuse, provide support and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Who helps us
Stripe handles payments, Supabase stores auction data and artwork, Resend delivers the winner email, Upstash applies rate limits, and Vercel hosts the service and provides aggregate product analytics and performance measurement. Each provider processes data under its own terms and applicable data-processing commitments.
Publication and retention
The winning name, link, claim and approved artwork are published in the Wall of Fame. Losing artwork is removed after settlement. Auction, payment and security records are kept only as long as needed for the service, disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Ask the contact above about deletion or correction; public winner records may need to remain where there is a contractual or legal reason.
Cookies and your choices
The current product does not use analytics to create advertising profiles. If non-essential cookies or advertising tools are added, consent controls will be introduced before they are activated. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object where applicable, and complain to your local data-protection authority.
